TeamSTEPPS® Training

TeamSTEPPS-page-imageTeamSTEPPS® teaches healthcare professionals how to integrate teamwork principles into daily practice throughout their organizations. Designed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Department of Defense, the program tenets are to improve communication and shift the organization into a culture known for high reliability in quality and patient safety.

This half day training session will examine the four skills categories of Leadership, Situation Monitoring, Mutual Support and Communication that improve team outcomes of Knowledge, Attitudes and Performance.

About the Instructor

ADN Patient Safety Organization has partnered with Phyllis Ragland, RN, CPHQ, CPPS, to conduct TeamSTEPPS® trainings. Ragland has more than 30 years of hands-on clinical and progressive managerial experience in surgical nursing, quality performance improvement, regulatory survey preparation and patient safety. She was one of the first in the country to achieve the Certified Professional in Patient Safety credential from the National Patient Safety Foundation.
