IHI/NPSF to Launch Patient Safety Awareness Week March 11-17, 2018

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)/National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) will lead healthcare organizations nationwide in the observance of Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 11 – 17, 2018.

While the United for Patient Safety campaign, which  focuses on the reduction of preventable harm, is an ongoing effort, awareness week offers opportunity for the public and those working in healthcare to celebrate progress and acknowledge the need for continued learning and sharing across the industry.

During Patient Safety Awareness Week,  IHI/NPSF will offer two opportunities through which patient safety professionals and advocates can learn and share ideas for building safety culture:

Complimentary Webcast – Monday, March 12; 1 – 2 p.m. ET
Engaging Patients and Providers: Speaking up for Patient Safety 
This panel discussion will explore the importance of speaking up from the perspective of clinicians and staff as well as patients and families. Panelists will include:
