NPSF Unveils Executive Blueprint for Safety Culture Development
Creating a culture of safety within a healthcare organization is a challenging task complicated by a lack of resources which provide direction for leadership. A new document recently introduced by the National Patient Safety Foundation provides guidance for chief executives and other leaders working to advance their organization’s patient and workplace safety strategies.
The resource, Leading a Culture of Safety: A Blueprint for Success, is the culmination of a year-long collaboration between experts with the American College of Healthcare Executives and NPSF’s Lucian Leape Institute. The blueprint is designed to benefit organizations whether they are at the foundational stages of building a culture of safety or working to sustain an already robust safety environment.
