TJC Outlines 2017 ORYX Performance Measurement Requirements
The Joint Commission released its 2017 ORYX performance measurement requirements. Although the agency remains aligned with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) program, TJC has not adopted all of the electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) implemented by CMS. Instead, the list of eCQMs adopted by TJC includes 13 of the 15 eCQMs required by CMS.
TJC has eliminated the measure set reporting requirement for 2017. Measure selection and reporting will be by individual measure. For a listing of the 2017 ORYX Performance Measure Reporting Requirements, which go into effect on January 1, 2017, click here.
