The Joint Commission has issued a new Sentinel Event Alert aimed at helping point of care providers recognize signs in patients who may develop suicidal thoughts. In addition to the Sentinel Event Alert, TJC has published an infographic detailing risk factors, screening methods and action steps associated with the identification of suicide ideation.
