TJC Releases 2015 Annual Report on Quality, Safety
The Joint Commission has released its 2015 annual report, America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety. The report, which summarizes data on 49 accountability measures reported by more than 3,300 TJC accredited hospitals in 2014, points to how well hospitals are performing on evidence-based care processes for treating conditions including heart attack, pneumonia and stroke.
Also included in the report is TJC’s list of hospitals that have achieved the status of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®. This year, 1,043 accredited hospitals or 31.5 percent of those hospitals that reported performance measure data to TJC are listed as Top Performers.
