According to an article published by the American Hospital Association, hospitals have about two weeks to preview reports for the fiscal year 2014 Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program. Organizations have until July 12 to download their hospital-specific reports at My QualityNet and to notify the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding possible calculation errors.
The ratios in the reports are based on CMS fee-for-service claims from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2012. Any suspected miscalculations can be reported by sending an email to CMS_readmissions_reduction@mathematica-mpr.com by July 12. The readmissions ratios will be publicly reported in October via the Hospital Compare website.
